The Memphis 1700 Big Jake Glove from MCR Safety is the top dog in our leather palm safety work glove line. Heavy-weight side cowhide leather is the most dense and abrasion resistant you'll find, and is cut extra-thick on the Big Jake. This isn't a lightweight garden glove, but if you handle rebar and concrete blocks all day, this is the glove for you. The Gunn cut style features heavy-weight leather on the palm, knuckles, thumb and forefinger. Heavy cotton duck fabric is tough while still breathing to help keep your hands cool and dry as possible. The rubberized safety cuff will hold its shape, even after going through the laundry. As tough as these gloves are, you may end up washing them more than once before they wear out. The Big Jake has heavy cotton jersey inside the glove to cushion the palm of your hand. This really helps when catching bricks or muscling a jack hammer around.
